FirstClass Provincial Agreement
FirstClass products are used in institutions around the world with over 6 million users in education. ERAC has established a tentative agreement with the FirsClass Division of Open Text that will permit districts and independent schools to access the entire suite of FirstClass products in a cost effective manner.
ERAC has renewed its agreement with Open Text Corporation regarding the provision of FirstClass software licenses on a term license basis for participating ERAC Members. The agreement will provide each participating ERAC Member with First Class licenses upon acceptance of the online end user license agreement.
What Products Are Included?
Products available under this ERAC agreement include the following:
- FirstClass messaging and collaboration licenses for all staff, all students and 1 license per set of parents
- FirstClass high capacity server license
- FirstClass Log analyzer license
- FirstClass Unified Communications licenses for all staff
- FirstClass Archive Services licensing for all staff, students and parent accounts.
- FirstClass ED licenses for all teachers
- FirstClass ED licenses for all students
- FirstClass Sync Services license
- FirstClass Application Services license
- OpenText Social Workplace (new bundled license component)
FirstClass product bug fixes, upgrades, and enhancements for the products listed above shall be provided to participants at no additional charge during the term of this agreement.

FirstClass Hosted Solutions
OpenText will also be offering discounted pricing to ERAC Members who are interested in moving their FirstClass environment to a hosted model. Due to the nature of the hosted offering, not all licenses included listed above will be available. OpenText will work with any ERAC members who are interested in the hosted offering on a case by case basis to determine pricing and licenses.
