Adobe Licensing Update

Adobe Licensing Update

|
April 30, 2019

ERAC will issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) this week to clearly identify options, pricing and a reseller for the renewal or replacement of the current Adobe agreement.  Changes to the Adobe education licensing program have reduced options for smaller districts and schools, and complicated deployment and administration for all Districts. The RFP closes at the end of May and an Adobe licensing solution will be identified before end of June. If you are approached directly by Adobe resellers, refer them to ERAC.

Concurrently, ERAC will issue a Request for Information (RFI), aimed at identifying alternate design software applications and functionality of products that support activities such as image creation, design and editing. If your District uses a design program that supports photo editing, video editing, document design, and/or graphic design, send the name of the software and/or vendor to info@bcerac.ca  by May 6, 2019. ERAC will send notification of the RFI process directly to identified software publishers and Canadian distributors.

Both the RFI and RFP will be issued by BC Education Marketplace, on ERAC’s behalf and posted on BC Bid. By end of June, the goal is to have multiple licensing options for all Districts.
