YUKON – ERAC Reaches Far and Wide
ERAC’s Professional Learning Team are busy! They have been connecting teachers through their face to face engagements sessions all across BC, and now the Yukon. Team Leader, Kevin Amboe, and team member Lisa Read, were recently in the Yukon and had the opportunity first-hand to see how excited the teachers became when they realized the depth of resources they were able to access. Their deep dive took teachers into specific resources and identified ways for students to access custom portions of videos, plus so much more, all while integrating BCDC resources into the classroom. Some teachers specifically asked about additional French resources. Kevin was able to provide them direction from within the BC Digital Classroom and print resources in ERAC’s online collection, as well as take the feedback and expand on future presentations, identifying and accessing French resources. The Yukon Department of Education added to Kevin’s information by providing a Yukon specific handout with passwords and instructions for home access to teachers and students. Having met the day before with education leaders provided insight for personalization of the ERAC presentation. It also provided a deeper understanding for these leaders of the value of ERAC to classroom teachers in utilizing the BC Digital Classroom within their schools. If you have questions or would like to book a session, please feel free to contact Kevin Amboe directly at firstname.lastname@example.org. Bring on the professional learning!
